Banyule City Council is developing a new streetscape concept plan for the Heidelberg Central Shopping Precinct which includes the area between Burgundy Street, Rosanna Road and Mount Street, including access to the Heidelberg railway station.
With your input, Banyule is looking to deliver an improved streetscape look and feel that prioritises pedestrian needs, improves existing public spaces and creates a more appealing and interesting precinct.
Council will also be looking to create better connections between the main retail area, the medical precinct and the railway station. Another key priority is to reinforce the connection to the Heidelberg School art movement through the streetscape.
