The City Futures Department initiates and facilitates strategic place-based planning by working proactively and creatively to achieve integrated social, economic and environmental outcomes for the community. This includes the development and implementation of structure plans.
Structure plans provide a planning and development framework and long term vision for commercial centres. Structure plans have been adopted for the Greensborough, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe and Bell Street Mall Activity Centres.
