The State Government has released a detailed roadm

The State Government has released a detailed roadmap on how restrictions are planned to ease.

Easing of restrictions is based on vaccination rollout projections throughout the state.

A document explaining each stage of the roadmap and the projected dates is available in our bio.

Density limits are used throughout the roadmap:
DQ4 = a density quotient of one person per 4 square metres
DQ2 = a density quotient of one person per 2 square metres

Place Enhancement Grants are new to Banyule and to help you through the grant application process, we’ve put together a bumper Info and Grant Writing Session. Grab a coffee or your dinner and join us online.

Who should attend?

Eligible business owners, landlords and representative from owners corporations. Call us on 9433 7763 if you are unsure of your eligibility.

During the first part of the session the guidelines will be summarized and the types of projects that can be funded under this grant will be explained. There will be an opportunity to ask questions to members of the Economic Development and Local Laws Teams.

Part 2 of the session will be facilitated by grant expert Debby Maziarz on behalf of Banyule Council. Debby will provide some helpful tips about how to write a successful grant application.

COVID-19 Banyule Business Grants Round 6 are now open!

These grants will continue to support local businesses move online, increase their digital presence, introduce new products and/or services or seek professional advice.

The program has so far supported 165 businesses from 26 different industries such as Health and Welfare, Retail, Education, Tourism, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Hair and Beauty.

Home based business and sole traders are encouraged to apply.

There are two grants streams available.

BUSINESS SUPPORT GRANTS OF UP TO $5,000

BUSINESS COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT GRANTS OF UP TO $2,500

Applications close midnight Thursday 14 October 2021.

New Place Enhancement Grants Now Open!

Place Enhancement Grants have been developed to assist eligible businesses, landlords and owners corporations improve the look, feel and use of privately-owned, open spaces such as streetscapes, car parks and public realm areas through capital works projects. The objective of these grants is to improve the visitor experience which will encourage repeat visitation for longer periods adding to the vibrancy and viability of shopping precincts in Banyule.

Matched dollar for dollar funding of up to $20,000 will be awarded to successful applicants to complete their project.

Applications close at midnight Thursday 14 October 2021.

Our popular COVID-19 Banyule Business Grants progr

Our popular COVID-19 Banyule Business Grants program will make a return this September.

These grants have supported over 160 businesses since May last year.

Applications for Round 6 will open on Monday 6 September and close 11:59pm Thursday 14 October. The total funding pool is $120,000.

Two grant streams on offer:

BUSINESS SUPPORT GRANTS OF UP TO $5,000

BUSINESS COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT GRANTS OF UP TO $2,500

Guidelines will be released when applications open on Monday 6 September.

From 11.59pm last night (Thursday 17 June), restrictions were eased across metropolitan Melbourne.

• The 25km travel limit has been removed, enabling travel between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria
• Two visitors per day (plus dependants) will be permitted in the home
• Twenty people can gather publicly outdoors
• Masks will continue to be required indoors but they are no longer required outdoors. However, still recommended when physical distancing (1.5m) cannot be maintained
• Funerals can be held with up to 75 people in addition to those required to conduct the funeral
• Weddings can be held at a venue or outdoors with no more than 20 people
• Gyms can open with density limits and COVIDSafe plans in place
• Hair and beauty services can now operate without customers wearing masks during service
• Restaurants and cafes (under 100sqm) can open with up to 25 people before density requirements apply. A density requirement of 1 person per 4 sqm with a maximum of 150 people (indoors and outdoors) and no more than 75 indoors
• Bars, karaoke facilities and nightclubs are open with seated service. Density quotient applies
• Indoor seated entertainment venues such as cinemas can have 50% seated capacity and up to 75 people per venue and maximum group size of 10 people
• Outdoor seated entertainment venues can have 50% seated capacity and up to 150 people per venue and maximum group size of 20 people
• Community sport can resume for all ages, including training and competition
• Indoor physical recreation can resume, with group sizes of up to 10 per session indoors, plus the minimum number of people required to conduct the activity
