The Economic Information Base provides detailed statistical analysis of Banyule’s activity centres and their prospects for accommodating future growth.
The information base will help inform the development of Banyule specific policy, aid funding applications and assist with strategic investment attraction activities.
The Economic Information Base includes:
- A detailed analysis of economic trends impacting investment and development at the municipal level and the implications for Banyule’s activity centre network;
- A review of the housing market and housing investment in and around the key activity centre,
- Information and analysis to inform plans for the six largest centres Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Heidelberg West, Greensborough, Rosanna, and Watsonia, including a supply and demand analysis of retail and commercial floorspace over the period to 2036, and
- A municipal background report to assess the main trends impacting development and investment for the next 20 years and the implications for Banyule’s activity centre network.
