Support for retail centres

Banyule City Council has a successful program of support for retail centres in the form of Special Rate and Charge programs. Delivered in partnership with each Traders’ Association, these programs not only market and promote the local offer, but act as a catalyst for investment and coordination of activity. The broader marketing and promotional activities that these schemes deliver can include community events, competitions, newsletters, advertising and business networking opportunities.

Each Scheme is overseen by an incorporated Traders’ Association through a part time Centre Manager who coordinates the Association’s activities, and acts as a key point of contact between Council and the Association.
